Awful at paying out

I turned 55 in April.Applied for my small pot pension to pay for my wife to have foot surgery to alleviate her pain.I provided every document that was requested.Delays followed.Finally I was messaged to contact an 0300 telephone number.Except it doesn't work from Ireland.The UK open university 0300 does ,so clearly it's people's partnership have the problem.Thanfully my sister works in the industry and she found 01293 586666.I called and spoke to reception.She tried to transfer me to the small pots team ,before coming back and saying thry would not speak to me but wanted me to answer questions such as ,am I really me ,and was I taking my smallpot of my own free will.Bu****"it basically. They then waited twenty more working days and paid out with no further communication.No email or nothing.I can no longer get onto the portal either.I was paid out about 5 percent less than my illustration when I first requested my smallpot 3 months earlier.So I've seen the typical people's partnership response asking people to email them on this website.So my response is you have my details ,why don't you email me and I will take twenty working days to reply to you.Robert Cave Date of experience: 18 July 2024 Reviewed on: 19th July 2024

Still waiting

I have filled in numerous forms as requested by them. I retired in November requested my pension pot before I retired and its now mid February still waiting and no contact from them for weeks. My other private pension has paid out, not quickly but its in my bank. I find proples pension are unresponsive, in no hurry to pay out what you and your employer have paid in. Would not recommend. Poor Communication

I requested a withdrawal over three weeks ago. They emailed a question which I replied to and asked questions of my own. It took a further week before a reply. They now want all sorts of ID documents which they could have requested on my application. Very poor service and no consistency with point of contact. Reviewed on: 14th February 2023

We are obliged to do so and our regulator demands it, and it’s the right thing to do. Regulators and providers alike exercise a very high level of caution when dealing with the claim of pensions. The process cannot be rushed and we must ensure that everything is present and correct. We must have, for example, all the completed paperwork and documentation that’s been asked for. B&CE The Peoples Pension Warning stay clear of these cowboys

Warning do not, I repeat do not have anything to do with this company, they will not pay out your pension They will make you jump through hoops and make every excuse not to pay your money. Transfer your money to another reputable pension provider ASAP. look at all the negative reviews not just on here also google. Reviewed on: 11th November 2022

Take your money is mission impossible.

I am waiting 4 weeks and still didn't get money. Afer 4 weeks and my calls they sent email to proof my bank and address. I have sent bank statement and after a few days again email to proof address which was already on statement. After any email contact they have 7 to 10 working days to respond which is to me just make time to process claim. I am very dissepointed. Reviewed on: 25th October 2022

DO NOT INVEST

You will have great difficulty getting your money out terrible service no communication unless you go through a formal complaints route..internal admin errors galore and they will delay payment accordingly..not that they can sort out their own mistakes its a farce Reviewed on: 16th August 2022

rubbish company

trying to get YOUR money out is like braking into the bank of England, don't expect any fast pay outs it just ain't happening this needs reporting to the FCA or who ever deals with this Reviewed on: 15th July 2022

People Pension (B&CE)

Absolutely atrocious service waited six weeks for payment no further forward. During these six weeks markets dropped 2% -dont use Peoples Pension Reviewed on: 5th July 2022

Problems withdrawing money

Don’t be in a hurry to withdraw YOUR money as this company are a nightmare First of all they told me my employer had to finish paying contributions ( which is strange as I thought I could withdraw MY money at any time ? Then they told me I wasn’t the account holder despite giving them my account ref policy number to which you need username password and memorable word to access Still waiting for MY money Reviewed on: 1st July 2022

Impossible to withdraw funds

After 6 months of trying to withdraw a small amount from a pension pot I have had to resort to approaching the FCA to complain about the disgraceful service. Repeated requests for information, birth certificates , blank cheques . They should be struck off. Reviewed on: 11th April 2022

Nightmare

Stay away, worst company, they will tell you anything to get you off the phone. Took them more than 2 months to give me my ( small pot ) money. I had to call 4 times spending hours on the phone and send emails also !!! Out Of Order Reviewed on: 28th March 2022
