So happy I switched to Triodos for my current account

I opened my new Triodos current account in Dec '22 - I had to close down my old current account owing to identity fraud. Triodos made the switch so easy and seamless. I also appreciate being able to speak to someone at the end of the phone. I also appreciate that you don't do Apple Pay (as far as I can tell). The £3 monthly fee feels worth it - not only because your service is great but the fact that you invest in companies in line with my values means a lot to me. Reviewed on: 18th January 2023

What a relief!

Opening a bank account with Triodos was straight forward, its ethical outlook appealed greatly, customer service is excellent, phones are answered promptly and politely - what a relief from the dinosaurs with whom I have banked with in the last 5 decades, all of whom have put profit before customers, have made their money (and continue to do so) from overuse of Mother Earth's limited resources, and paid their CEOs so excessively. Efficient, secure and ethical

For me, the top three top reasons to bank with Triodos are; They respond to queries very promptly and helpfully - and will follow up quickly with any outstanding matters. Their security and anti-fraud measures are top notch and are under constant review and improvement. They lend and invest ethically to ecologically aware companies and also lending to small businesses. Their updates on recipients of their loans are regular and most interesting. Ethics is not an add-on

This is a bank that works in an effective and straightforward way for it's retail customers yet puts true emphasis on benefitting communities and the planet through its loans and investments. Friendly, ethical bank

I've been with Triodos for a few years now and am so pleased to have made the move. Moving itself was easy and went without a hitch. The main benefit of being with Triodos is their customer service. You are aware that you are speaking to people who are engaged and willing to help. In addition, it is one of the few businesses that does not Greenwash its services - something I see as tantamount to deceiving customers - but is genuinely engaged in green and ethical issues. THE ethical bank!

Getting the criticism out of the way first..... Despite being around for so long, occasionally I have issues around security confirmation and on-line recognition. Moving on to the good stuff. As well as doing the obvious, like lending ethically and being 'green' in their day-to-day operations, Triodos take additional, more innovative steps, for example: - Triodos have an on-line AGM. This is more accessible to those not able to attend in person (ability, time, money, etc), as well as reducing the carbon footprint by not having everyone travelling and provide resources at a large venue. - Triodos are actively involved in working with other banks to consider more people and planet friendly ways of working. - My favourite initiative: Making mortgages cheaper and more easily available the more sustainable the property - You want the money for a passive house, you say? Let us help you fund and support this aspiration by providing a cheaper mortgage! :-) Reviewed on: 18th January 2023
