The perfect bank

Aside from all the amazing initiatives they back, their ethos and their dedication to the planet - I’ve always had brilliant customer service and support whenever I’ve had to get in touch with anyone at Triodos! That alone should put this bank head and shoulders above the rest. I had a savings account with Triodos for about a year before getting round to opening a current account a few months ago. So easy to do and well worth it. I love the plastic free debit card! Their app is super user-friendly as well. There’s an interactive map of all the projects that Triodos fund, which is really lovely to see. I recommend Triodos to anyone and everyone! There’s no reason to still be banking with companies that use your money to fund fossil fuel extraction and other unethical exploitation. Triodos only funds projects that provide care of the earth, the people and the future. I’d give them a hundred star rating if I could! Reviewed on: 27th February 2021

Best banking I know of

While opening the account proved a little bit difficult for me as an immigrant, Triodos did help along the way and explain all that needed explaining in a clear, factual, kind and understanding fashion. Since then, I have practically always been pleasantly surprised. While their online banking system is a bit Linux and Tor incompatible, that is the only negative thing I can think about. Their banking is informative, transparent, efficient and as ethical as banking gets in the most capitalistic country in the world. Their customer service is absolutely excellent. All queries and issues I have had have been explained, addressed and resolved within the day: there are no endless queues, no excuses, they always take responsibility and they always take charge. Furthermore, their colleagues and personnel are more than polite. They are friendly without exception, even in a neighbourly way. While I would personally welcome actual branches you could go to keep online banking at a minimum, this is a minor issue, since their online banking is the safest I have ever experienced (although, as stated, it could use more Tor/Linux compatibility). Ethical is the best way to go

I love banking with Triodos because i know that every decision they make will be an Ethical one and this is important to me. I know that it's an online only bank, but that suits me just fine, I do everything online anyway. Their customer service is great, I always receive a timely response, unlike other banks.
