A Trustworthy Bank

I always wanted to find an ethical bank that had the same values as my own and I have found it in Triodos Reviewed on: 20th January 2023

Great ethics, positive impact, excellent service

I bank with Triodos primarily for its ethics, and to ensure that my money has a positive impact. Triodos is properly transparent about how your money is used; this is no greenwashing exercise by a big, faceless financial institution. The account itself is great - easy to manage online or with a simple, easy to use app, or by phone with friendly real agents if you need to. The monthly charge is fair and helps ensure that those encountering financial difficulty aren't hit with extortionate fees - which is how "free" current accounts are funded at other banks. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone who cares about making sure their money has a positive impact, or dealing with a fair and transparent company, or who just wants a decent current account! Transfers need to be quicker

Transfers out of the account using the faster payment system are not fast! Other banks seem to be able manage near instant transfers. A Triodos transfer took nearly 18 hours recently. Apparently transferring after 6 pm is problematic. Reviewed on: 20th January 2023

Triodos has consistently been rated top or near the top of ethical consumer magazine. It is good to know my money is not going into fossil fuel investments, but helps towards a sustainable future which benefits everyone. Reviewed on: 20th January 2023

Simplicity of online banking and superb customer service.

Ethics and Logic

I have had complete confidence in Triodos ever since I started saving and then current accounts were offered. I love the stories which tell of project loans backing up its claim of ethical business. The online access is reliable and logical. (But it would be nice to have just the new interface and not have to switch to old for certain features) Keep up the good work.
