Net-positive banking

If you don't want to be a hypocritical environmentalist...

Other banks invest in fossil fuels. Tridos doesn't. Its quite simple really if you care about the environment and don't want to be a hypocrite with your money. They are always friendly and helpful on the phone, the app is secure and really easy to use and I've had good experiences overall since making the swap! Reviewed on: 16th December 2019

Helpful, responsive & oh so ethical

Very responsive & helpful whenever I have a query, and who knew that banking could be ethical! For a mere £3 a month I have a clear conscience knowing that my money is not supporting any fossil fuel industries or unethical companies. Love Triodos, 100% recommend. Reviewed on: 16th December 2019

Good bank does good

I moved to Triodos in early 2019 and I couldn't be happier - I am now with a bank which is doing good in the world, which shares my values and which puts the customer experience first. Everyone should have their money in an ethical, easy to use bank like Triodos. Reviewed on: 16th December 2019

Current account with good ethical basis

If I was talking about a Triodos current account I would say something like the following:- Positives- Strong ethical / eco / green philosophy governing the businesses and investments the bank deals with Good current account offering, in line with market offerings from other banks Good customer service Online banking works well and is nicely designed giving access to both current and savings account (but see below) Triodos is open and transparent with regard to business philosophy and lending / investment rules Excellent text/messaging system giving current and timely transaction and balance updates High level of investment in community and social projects Negatives (let's be fair) - Customer management systems are not fully integrated (requires manually completing a new application form when opening other account types) No branches - inconvenient when paying in cheques (yes they still exist) Triodos not recognised by some major financial institutions as a credible bank (I was unable to arrange payment of a pension tax free sum into my Triodos account) Monthly fee - major clearing banks offer 'free' banking Triodos philosophy sometimes verges towards the extreme eco / sjw/ activist views, perhaps with less regard for the reality of daily life as experienced by lower paid members of society No overdraft facility Minor - logon to online banking is clunky Summary Good current account offering which is perfectly adequate for day - day use but lacks some standard banking/current account facilities. Big draw is the high ethical and eco / green standards by which the bank is governed. Reviewed on: 16th December 2019

Great ethical bank

One of the few ethical banks out there, I've never had a bad experience with Triodos! I have both a current account and an ISA with them, and would recommend them to anyone! Reviewed on: 16th December 2019
