The Most Honest Bank in the world

Triodos is a bank that works to help individuals and communities. It only uses customers money to fund ethical activities. It supports many communities to enable them to be enterprising and innovative. Many of these activities then provide an income stream for their communities. Best bank used - the ethical nature is a bonus

I chose Triodos on the recommendation of my partner as I was looking for a sustainable bank. I wrongly assumed that opting for a sustainable bank would mean I have to compromise on service and app functionality, however this couldn’t be further from true. I’ve now had my Triodos account for more than a year and haven’t had a single problem - reliable, efficient, easy to use and problem free. This bank pioneers an ethical change in our financial system. Not lured into irresponsible lending and global competitiveness, Triodos offers a genuine alternative to the high-street lenders that continually and cyclically ruin our financial markets. Gone is greed, make way for green. Sustainability and environmental protection is now widely recognised as the most important issue facing the future of society and Triodos are the only bank taking it seriously. Only bank I feel at ease with

I joined Triodos after researching sustainability practices within the banking sector. I was with Barclays before and couldn’t help but feel that it was utterly wrong to have my money funding fracking. Finally an impactful and ethical bank!

After following the bank for a few years, I finally decided to make the switch to Triodos so that I could rest easy knowing my money wasn't funding the destruction of our planet. They were overwhelmed with requests when I applied for an account, but sent me regular updates on the progress of my application so that I never felt out of touch. The identification verification process was also really easy - no sending off proof of address! My current account switch was easy, and everything arrived securely and on time. The mobile app has an amazing map showing all the initiatives and organisations that Triodos has funded, making it really clear where your money is going.
