A brilliant ethical way to bank

I have several accounts with TRIODOS bank and to put it simply, I recommend them as a brilliant bank with excellent credentials who go above and beyond with their customer service and providing information to the account holders. Reviewed on: 15th January 2022

Most Ethical Bank

After spending many months, researching, corresponding with banks and banking reviewing companies etc I came to the conclusion that Triodos is currently the most ethical bank. I desperately wanted to open a current account with banks such as starling and monzo that are taking the banking world by storm. However, the numerous phone calls and email exchanges I had with their employees and representative's reassured me everytime that triodos is the bank for me. Monzo was very quiet regarding it's ethichs although it's mentioned as an ethical bank on many articles that I read I found this very misleading. When i reached out to monzo to actually find out how and what they use their customers money to invest in, they didn't provide any reassurances that they don't invest in arms, war's, fossil fuels etc. Starling bank responded with the fact that they don't support any oppressive regimes (which is extremely subjective if your the one oppressing or being oppressed) and that was the end of their ethics. When I sought further information as to which regimes, governments, companies they actually invest in because like many people I want a better world for my children and future generations... I was faced with complete silence. To conclude if a bank isn't transparent with it's customers when asked mutliple times how they use the money the customers holds in their current account, then this shows a lack of transparency and honesty. If the money was used for mainly good investments there is no doubt in my mind that this would lead to an advertising campaign promoting the banks ethics, the communities it's helped etc. But to be faced with complete silence from Monzo and a short paragraph by starling bank, I'm willing to look past their innovative banking ideas and use Triodos that is a growing bank but know my money is being spent helping other communities, preventing deforestation, promoting family and animal welfare. Amazing bank, combining top ethics with great service.

Each time I've needed to contact Triodos, the call has been answered quickly by someone able to make decisions and help straight away. The ethical ways of working stand up without my words. Reviewed on: 15th January 2022

A joy to bank with!

I had known of Triodos many years before I opened a current account with them. I had had savings accounts with them, and like many others, was eagerly awaiting the day they would make a current account available. When it happened, it didn't disappoint. I have found it friendly and transparent, and share many of its goals and values. I wish there were more such banks around! It's a joy to bank with Triodos. Reviewed on: 15th January 2022

An Honest Ethical Bank, that supports Life NOT WAR

Triodos is truly a bank for the PEOPLE, not Corporate Interestd. It comes with a price £3.00 a month a very small price to pay to stop the mindless funding of Arms, Fossil Fuel Projects, I am now truly aware of how my money is invested, the communities it helps, the planet. The more people become aware of how the big name banks use there savings, how they make there profits and transfer their bank accounts, investment and commit to the ethos of Triodos, the better future for our children and grandchildren. A bank where know your money is a force for good

The App is simple to use and allows me to do all the online banking I need. I enjoy reading about what social and environmental projects they support and feel great knowing my money is being used as a force for good. Friendly, efficient and ethical
