I moved all my funds to ethical institutions ten years ago and Triodos epitomises to me the future of banking, an institution you can be proud of where every £ is making a positive difference to the planet and its ecology and not the stagnant wealth of unnamed individuals and damaging industries. Best of the bunch

I chose to open my Triodos account after years of declining service from other big UK names. I wanted a bank with a strong ethical philosophy who could still provide the service and support I required. After much thought I decided Triodos best suited my needs. At that time they weren't offering a current account but their information reassured me that this would soon be available so I completed the application form and was accepted as a customer. Since then I have had no difficulties - I receive regular information about the bank's policies, ethical projects and any proposed changes, and their online banking system has been easy to use. I can access all the information I need about my accounts and on the few occasions I have needed support the phone support system has quickly resolved any issues. Reviewed on: 14th December 2019
