Excellent customer service

Credit building

I had been made bankrupt when my company failed. Vanquis gave me the opportunity to rebuild my credit score, what had been up to bankruptcy very very good. I needed a bank to look beyond my unfortunate issue and look at my longer credit history. This was done and I am now after small steps building up my credit score and earning a good limit on my card. Vanquis will only give you credit you can afford.

Vanquis will only give you credit you can afford. If they offer an increase, you have to apply for it and if they think you can't afford it, then you will not get the increase. This is a good thing because you cannot overstretch yourself. If you just pay the minimum each month, but you have reached, or got close to your credit, then you will have to pay more to avoid losing your account. They will inform you of this if it happens to you. It is always best to pay what you can afford each month to avoid this. Reviewed on: 19th April 2025
