My business went bust when the banks pulled the plug...

My business went bust when the banks pulled the plug on small businesses turning over less than £5m in the last recession. Vanquis trusted me with a new start - and a £4k limit! Now I'm back on my feet with the new business, I don't need the credit, but, back then, I was grateful. Reviewed on: 1st May 2024

Great card for building your Credit rating.

I have been a customer for some time now, the account freeze option was greatly appreciated when I fell on hard times, but that's no longer an option now, which is a shame because it was very helpful for anyone who has faced financially difficulties. Since I applied to vanquist interest rates have gone down significantly which is great! but, when offered a credit increase, I have to answer so many personal questions, as if I am a new customer, This inconvenience stops me from applying for the increase. I have a good credit score & payment history since my hardship over 6 years ago. That should be enough proof i am a reliable customer when offered an increase. Other than that I have no issues and use Vanquis as my main credit card because of the competitive interest rates. Which on occasion have been lowered because of my good payment history. I would recommend vanquis for anyone trying to build their credit score. Reviewed on: 1st May 2024
