A good product but shoddy customer service

The product itself is not bad. The APR is quite high but I knew this getting into the agreement. However when I got into some financial difficulty, I had to play the most ridiculous game of cat and mouse trying to get hold of someone, only for them to never return my calls, or call back with no prior knowledge of what our discussion had entailed. Complaints are VERY slowly resolved although gestures of goodwill are often given to make up for the wait. Reviewed on: 28th March 2016

Excellent service bar none.

I find my Gold Visa credit card easy to use being accepted in the majority of all places. Excellent on line and by telephone support. Reviewed on: 2nd May 2024

Vanquis are unable to fix their mistakes

Took too much from my account so agreed to refund 1500. Only 500 appeared in my account so called back and they apologised and refunded £1000. They took £1500 off my card which was right but then took another £1000. Id paid off card then to close it down as never want to deal with them again. (Communication is dreadful- they hang up constantly and never call back as promised) so now have a debt showing that I don’t owe and spent over 40 hours on phone trying to sort. Complaint promised some update within 28 days but on day 29 and nothing. Manager on phone advised my bank was to blame as they recalled payments which didn’t exist. My bank knows nothing but they won’t provide references or any info that would aid an investigation. Utterly disgraceful and cruel company. Now being told 8 weeks before they have to respond despite them admitting fault in mistaking 1500 for 500. Terrible company

Terrible company, poor communication, if anything goes wrong with your account they will charge you late fees rather than get in contact in writing to say there is a problem, and their customer service and complaints team are arrogant and rude. waste of time

dont go with these guys if you want to keep your money they took over£200 from my direct debit than they should of leaving me with no money at a time where we having a cost of living and customer service dont care Reviewed on: 20th November 2023

Consistently good

They gave me a card when I had little money, when others wouldn't. 10 years later I am financially comfortable but still use their card - out of gratitude, and because they give excellent service. My credit limit has been gradually and sensibly increased. Reviewed on: 13th November 2023

Never a problem

I started with a £250 credit limit now 6 years later I'm on there maximum limit of £4.000 can't fault the service I've had Reviewed on: 17th September 2023
