Don't always believe

Money tooken for house valuation and it is our fault that we didn't wait for the answer first. But customer advisor was saying "no need to woried all should be okay, all looks good". Declined because of that there is gaps for last 4 years working (it is not true). Money for deposit are from student finance (Not true as well). Not even given a chance to prove that that it is not true. "You are in risk beacuse of Covid-19". So why giving a hope.. I do not recommended Reviewed on: 16th July 2020

From early mortgage discussions to drawdown and now redemption/repayment, the entire Vernon team have been a delight to deal with. Easy to get hold of, no nonsense approach and unerringly friendly. I never write reviews - good or bad ones, but I feel like I must write this review for The Vernon because they've been brilliant with me as a customer., and their staff are wonderful and deserve all the praise. I have been a mortgage customer for 3 years now, and this is my first mortgage. Each time I've ever been in contact with their staff I've always received excellent customer service and they have gone above and beyond to answer my queries, get back to me promptly and offer advice and guidance as needed.. On top of that, in a market where rates are ever changing, I do believe I've been offered a brilliant product from The Vernon, and would not get the same deal or same care elsewhere. Professional, friendly and efficient

I asked Vernon Building Society if I could raise some money on my mortgage to undertake building work on our house (installing energy efficient measures such as insulation and an air source heat pump). From start to finish they were professionally thorough (without being unnecessarily demanding) and I felt very well looked after as there was always a point of contact if I had any questions. The whole process was quicker than I expected – they were very efficient. Using a small building society such as the Vernon means they understand you on a human level and even if you don't tick all the boxes (I'm self employed so it was a bit more complicated) they are flexible and see the whole picture.
