complex income mortgage

We managed to use income projections from a client towards affordability, as the client had seen a large uplift in income year on year since covid, which was very bespoke and managed to get us where we needed to be Reviewed on: 13th March 2023

An old fashioned lender that you can talk to.

I looked for a mortgage to take me into retirement. After trying many other lenders who were not interested to help The Vernon saw no problem in lending based on current income and retirement income and found appropriate ways to facilitate what I wanted. When I wanted to move they were again understanding and enabled me to achieve what I needed without fuss. The great thing about them is that you can actually talk to them and a real life person looks at your circumstances and makes the decision. "The computer says no" does not apply! The best small building society.

Very easy to deal with and understanding of customer needs

I our late 60s my wife and I approached Vernon for a mortgage. I was - and still am working full time and my wife has a decent retirement income. I was delighted to find they had a forward-thinking attitude towards older clients. A mortgage was duly offered and gratefully accepted. Reviewed on: 9th November 2018

totally professional but also friendly, & advice helpful.

I am over 70 & needed a small mortgage, their approach did not discriminate because of my age, unlike other lenders. They did a very competent financial risk assessment, but at all times were friendly & helpful. Reviewed on: 9th November 2018

Friendly service
