Application for 2nd card ridiculously bureaucratic

Opened account as I fly to USA regularly and so wanted to collect points for flights. Needed 2nd card for husband. We have been married for 20 years and lived at same address. Have joint cards with Amex and mortgage etc. on the electoral roll and both gave good credit ratings. They want you to send your passport and driving license or verified copy signed by civil servant, actuary etc. done all that despite time consuming and over the top. They didn’t need that info for me to open the card account for myself so why is it needed fir additional card holder? Now claim not good enough quality copy so need additional or original docs. 20 mins on phone to find this out. Done with it now. Not worth it. Taken off my Apple Pay and will stop using the account. This bank has one of the worst service out there.

This bank has one of the worst service out there. We have banked with them for over 65 years. The credit card cancels transactions without notification. Things like holiday insurance or taxis to the airport the night before you leave. Then deny it and cant find phones calls you have made to them. Yet acknowledge that you did make a call but mysteriously cant find it. Don't Use them. Reviewed on: 21st August 2025

Excellent card service on lost account

I found out about a dormant account that was discontinued more than 10 years ago. It had a balance due to me on the card. I had no card details available other than whatvwas avail le on my credit report. I made a written request, and a agent called me. After a few security questions, he promised to transfer the amount into my current account. Thie money was deposited on the same day. Well done Reviewed on: 12th June 2025
