Great value at Admiral

Great insurance company!

Terrible company

Don’t make the same mistake we made. They have terrible customer service and are more expensive on their excess charges and if you do have to make a claim, they are extremely aggressive. It’s not pleasant Reviewed on: 16th April 2019

Avoid, useless when something serious comes up.

Our car was stolen, after a long interrogation and lots of documents they offered a compensation of 33% below prices we found online for similar cars, a much smaller replacement car or just £250 otherwise. When the car was found by police just before payout they took back the £250 we thought we were using for taxis while waiting on car payout and also penalised quite a lot on our no claims bonus and it didn't make a difference whether they paid out for the whole car or just a fraction of that for repairs. Have decided not to renew due to increased cost and compulsory excess

We had Admiral buildings and contents insurance for a year without making any claim. When considering renewal, we were told that the cost would increase by about 30% and that the compulsory excess for any damage caused by escape of water or flood had been increased from £350 to £500 (in addition to voluntary excess.) Following discussion, the proposed increase in cost could be reduced to about 15%. However, we were not willing to accept the prospect of paying £500 compulsory excess in case we should ever have water damage, so have arranged insurance with another company. Excellent products from Admiral.
