Shocking delays and Customer Service

I cannot believe the incompetence displayed by Admiral Travel, inexcusably delays of 4 months to date, the total lack of communication and customer service over what should have been a simple, basic claim for a net £99.48 medical bill. I will never consider Admiral for any type of insurance again. I paid for annual travel insurance with Admiral for a holiday in Turkey July 2023. On arrival at Dalaman Airport on my return flight 28 July, I felt very ill. Jet2 saw me and asked what was wrong. Because I obviously looked bad, they insisted that before they would allowed me to fly home, I saw the airport doctor to assess if I was fit to fly home. I had the medical, costing £249.48 and obtained a ‘Fit to Fly’ certificate. After a lot of stressful phone calls from Jet2 to UK, they finally allowed me to check in for the flight home. On 23/8/23 when I was feeling better, I initiated a claim on their online claim portal for the £249.48 less excess of £150 leaving a net claim of £99.48, completed all of their questionnaire and uploaded all of the requested evidence. Now, 4 months later, having uploaded the exact same evidence at least twice more, my claim is still showing at 25% complete with outstanding unanswered questions which are identical to what I uploaded on 23/8/23, although their on portal log shows everything that has been sent with dates. This week 11/12/23 after I sent another email asking where my refund was, they replied, from an unmanned email address, 4 months after my initial claim date, asking if I could confirm if I received a refund on my return flight? Worst insurance I ever had to deal with

Would give 0 stars if I could. I'm starting to think this insurance is a SCAM. It's been+ 2 MONTHS that I had to cancel my holidays due to an unexpected stay at the hospital and I still haven't received any reimbursement. I have proof of the hospital, the GP, every documentation of what I paid and they still refuse to pay me my money back. More and more insane document requests and whenever I submit one they ask for the next one. Save yourself the trouble and get another insurance provider. STAY AWAY!!! This is the worst insurance company in the UK

False comfort insurance

I wish I’d read the reviews before insuring with Admiral. Exhaustive details required by them for my claim over a lost item of hand luggage and its contents, including proof of loss claim with the Airline and the police. Some 6 weeks into the claim, a depreciation figure ( 33% of cost ) was offered on the bag itself, and I was then told I’d need to register each of the contents with the Airline website, and then provide receipts or photos of the items as proof of ownership. Gave up and agreed a settlement with my Contents provider within days. Reviewed on: 30th August 2023

Stolen item claim rejected

Had a claim rejected after having items stolen while on holiday. I provided reasoning which discredited both of the rejection reasons, but they refused to accept it. However, my friend’s claim through NatWest was approved and she had a much smoother process. I would recommend taking your business elsewhere than Admiral. Reviewed on: 23rd August 2023

Do NOT use this appalling company

Had to abandon a week's break in May 23, due to partners I'll health. My claim has been reduced by the excess and then halved,, ignoring that I had made payment for our trip.. Now my partner has to make his own claim and will also be deducted his excess for the same trip. This seems a totally unreasonable way of being compensated in my opinion.
