Simple to sign up and use great for an oldie with easy password retrieval

I have held my American Express card for some years now. Originally I signed up for cash back, but I have stuck with AE because the customer service is really good and the card is easy to use. Also if it's been a while since I have used it, pin number retrieval is quick and simple. Reviewed on: 9th June 2019

Disappointing offers

Platinum now has minimum requirement, and most of the offers are London centric. But customer service is spot on and responds quickly when you have claims. Amex needs to offer more wide range of offers all around the U.K. and not just London based businesses. Reviewed on: 11th June 2023

Cashback but heavy charges for sellers

It is great using the Amex card with big companies as you get a little bit of cashback as well as being able to delay payment a month without incurring interest. However a local coffee shop owner said he doesn't accept it because he is charged £1.08 per transaction. This does seem high given for a typical transaction there the cashback I might earn is around 4p. Still, for big companies and large payments it is great. Reviewed on: 31st May 2023

Best customer service

On numerous occasions I have dealt with suppliers that refuser to provide refunds in a timely manner. Amex provides the security to take risks and their customer service representatives make the process seemless. Reviewed on: 31st May 2023

Platinum credit card

I’m delighted with my credit card .I obtain cashback on purchases and the website is easy to use.When I had a fraudulent transaction the customer service was excellent. Reviewed on: 31st May 2023

Their customer service sucks eggs! And they could use some people skills.

Money, money, money, money! That's all they're about, and they were boast all day about the features of their card service, I remember this is not a credit card, this is a club membership, and they act accordingly. Their customer service is available only a few hours a day even for their premium cards. And unfortunately, they are extremely poor at people management. I feel sorry for the people who work there because they don't deserve the venom their poor service evokes in their customers. Reviewed on: 25th April 2023

Amex cash back

Love this credit card. Use it for everyday spending and once a year get a percentage given back of what you’ve spent. Be stupid not to use it. Reviewed on: 5th April 2023
