Reply from Are You Owed Money As per our responses to your other reviews across multiple platforms: Good afternoon Agnieszka. Thank you for your reviews. Regarding your case which was part of your time with us. We worked the case, we assisted in taking it to court. The case was awarded in your favour, and we successfully recovered a large percentage of the debt. At the time you spoke to our legal team, you understood the language used by our representative but to clarify, what they meant is that they could not prioritise you over other clients and put you at the front of the queue. We do not have "priority clients" and deal with each case in the order it comes to us. Regards, the AYOM team.Good afternoon Agnieszka. Thank you for your reviews. DO NOT USE - Small claims court against this company

1
AYOM collected all monies owed to me from the debtor but refuses to pay me out. They collected in full in January 2024 and I'm still waiting to be paid anything. They've even gone as far as GDPR removing the debtors information from the portal and considering my case complete... How is this possible if I haven't received a penny? We are in the process of filing small claims court against this company and have reported to Action Fraud. Reviewed on: 15th October 2024
Reply from Are You Owed Money We recently received a review from you on Google under the name James King. We are unable to find a client on our system of the name James King. We did also ask on Google for you to get in touch so we could verify you as a user and if so, assist but we have yet to receive any correspondence to the email account requested. As per our previous response on Google: Hi James. We have an article here on why we incorporate a holding period once retrieving any money from your debtor (https://www.areyouowedmoney.co.uk/ayom-blog/post/chargebacks-holding-period.php). Whenever we receive payment, to avoid charge backs from the debtor's bank we wait until it is impossible for them to claw the money back. This timespan varies depending on the method of payment and isn't the same timescale for every payment type. Please could you email your client ID, contact email and telephone number to [email protected] for us to investigate the matter and look to resolve any problems. Regards, the AYOM team. Total Shame and Scammers

1
We engaged this company to collect a debt for us in June 2023. Their Sales team were very good and said we would get our money back quickly. The lady at the office who dealt with the process was also very lovely and by November they managed to cut a deal a get back some of our money. At that point they told us that in the small print it said they hold the money for 3 months. We accepted this although very disappointed. It is now 9 month since the debtor paid them and still no money. Loads of phone calls but customer services never pick the phone up. Loads of emails but just excuses why and hide behind how busy they are or it's in the hand of finance who never answered the phone or an email. all we want is what we are owed and not excuses. On a finish note they apparent pay out by Cheque!!!! who deals with that nowadays. Reviewed on: 13th August 2024
Reply from Are You Owed Money Hi Ray. This is your third review across different platforms. Our customer service team have already been contacted about your other reviews and leaving more new ones will not provide a faster response. Holding periods are to protect the client. You can find all you need to know on our blog article available here: https://www.areyouowedmoney.co.uk/ayom-blog/post/chargebacks-holding-period.php Depending on the type of payment received, holding periods can vary and are not just set at 90 days. Very often, the "minimum" is 90 days. Response date: 15th August 2024

We are disgusted.

1
We are disgusted with the lack of… We are disgusted with the lack of transparency. You must read this before you sign up with the company. We signed up with AYOM in August 2023. The salesman was very professional and said in order to get our money back we only needed to pay an upfront cost. We paid them £3,600 for them to retrieve our lost funds. They cut a deal with the person that owed us money that he would pay £350 per month. It has now been 8 months and we have received our first payment today of £1400. However, we are disgusted to find out they have taken 38% of this amount plus VAT plus a card processing fee amounting to £682.50. We have received a cheque for £717.50. It is in the small print of the T&C that they charge `38% but we were not told this and feel betrayed by their sales representative. I cannot stress enough to do your do diligence on their T&C.. We would like an answer from AYOM as to why we paid an upfront cost of £3,600. We will keep everyone posted on their responses each month and what we are going to be paid. Reply from Are You Owed Money Hi Katrina. Thanks for leaving comments once more. This review and the others posted on other platforms will be passed onto management. We would always recommend that clients thoroughly read our terms and conditions at signup as your cooling off period is there for you to query any terms you don't understand or don't agree with. Our charges and how we work are all detailed in there. All debt collection charges are added to the debt value, of which we chase the debtor for this amount as well as your debt value. This means we will indeed collect the debt value plus charges and send these on to you meaning you will not be out of pocket at the conclusion of the case. VAT is required by law. If you are VAT registered you are able to claim this back. Kindest regards, the AYOM team. Response date: 4th April 2024

I found AYOM on the internet and having read their reviews engaged them to recover £25k from a business loan to my ex fiancée and numerous personal belongings. A representative attended my house and impressed me with his commitments that AYOM would recover my Money. His promises came to nothing and having paid them. They attempted ( too my knowledge) one home visit We then entered lockdown and I was informed that all home visits had stopped When I attempted contact during lockdown It was explained to me that they could note process my case due to lockdown Ultimately I t was explained to me that my case had been passed to their legal team Since this point I have received nothing other than when I posted another Trust pilot and a lady called me and promised to review my case Again I heard nothing , other than whenever i post a Trustpilot review and AYOM seen to be bale to take my review down I have pasted the AYOM representatives initial response to my enquiry below To say I am disappointed  is an understatement ... Update 25th February 2024 - AYOM failed to investigate any further and are now working hard to distancet themselves and state that my case has been closed . £3936 out of pocket Avoid at all costs I found Hi Jeremy, Reviewed on: 25th February 2024
