Three good years until recently

For three years they were the best on the market until they randomly upped my premium without reason, becoming £250 more expensive than their competition. A shame to leave but as you can’t easily talk to anyone if you have an online policy then it’s worth leaving as you can’t even call to discuss your renewal. Reviewed on: 5th September 2025

Great price.

Great price. It us easy to amend your policy. I had to add extra mikeage when i realised that i travelled further than expected. Thankfully I haven't needed to claim. The policy is very comprehensive covering most eventualities. Reviewed on: 5th September 2025

Absolutely dreadful and appalling customer service.

 My elderly father contacted his insurance company after this company who he is with decided to increase his premium by hundreds of pounds whilst he’s been an excellent customer.

 My father called me distressed that some man he talked to at this company was very rude to him And felt it was amusing with him trying to see if he could help reduce his insurance quote which had excessively increased and with no accidents to report that has been caused by my dad. 

I have authorisation to talk on my father‘s behalf and I also called this company to complain. I could not believe what happened next.

 The lady on the phone with a foreign accent was one of the most rudest, unhelpful, challenging persons I have ever met.

 She placed me on hold twice for no reason she was rude, abrasive, and totally disrespectful.

 Her tone and attitude towards me was extremely bad 

 Her name she said was Mbali or similar with the call taking place on the 5th of August between 10:15 and 10:30. This is an approximate time.

Before the lady, if you could call her that as she was so rude certainly not acting like a lady and certainly not acting professional laughed if you listen to the call towards the end.

Laughed because she thought it was funny. My father was disabled, she laughed because she thought it was funny that I was trying to help him. I was complaining about her attitude to her how appalling

. When I asked for her name, I don’t know if this is a real name But she rudely questioned me about why I needed of it, and I explained for my complaint to which she had laughed and she terminated the call without my consent! 

I then decided to use live chat and had to insist on your operative to register a complaint, again this was very difficult to do.

 If you look at the complaint notes on the chat, you will see that I had to ask more than once to confirm my complaint was raised and I asked for the complaint reference number which I was not provided. I was told my complaint was open and I listed the details of the complaint within the chat asking your staff to ensure it was logged correctly.

 Absolutely the worst insurance company I have ever had the misfortune to talk to.

 To all customers even if you think you’ve had a good experience remember when you need help, they are not there. The service is appalling and the sense that I got was that with them being in overseas call Centre they really feel untouchable for any complaint and make it very very difficult for a customer to get help. I will be reporting this company to the ombudsman and the FCA in the UK for this Canadian owned company. We have terminate the policy on its renewal date which is due on the 10th of August as it was important NOT have this HORRID AND APPALLING company have any dealings with my father. 

I wonder how many customers leave this company due to extremely bad staff. The whole process was appalling and disgraceful.
 AVIVA YOU HAVE caused a lot of upset to my father and wasted a lot of my valuable time.

 My opinion would be to avoid at all cost to all customers reading this trust me they won’t be helpful based on my experience. Date of experience: 05 August 2025 Reviewed on: 6th August 2025

Would have left zero stars if possible. Do not use this rip off insurance company! I just changed my car and gone from group 36 down to group 22, I expected a refund but was charged more... Also my renewal quote is £630 the exact same as my previous car. I did the comparison quotes on Google and quotes from other insurers are at least £300 cheaper. So there it is Quote me happy, also known as aviva are double the price of my other quotes, and they try telling me its not in their control! Absolutely disgusting Reviewed on: 27th February 2025

Aviva ..Age discrimination in my opinion

Well I got my renewal from Aviva at the end of last year to be told my premium was increasing by over 70% no logical reason given ….it was take it or leave it. No Accidents 40 years No Claims or Convictions. No Health Issues. Purely Age discrimination in my opinion Reviewed on: 23rd February 2025

Hi everyone, I just want to tell everyone a small part of the truth about the website Go Compare and Aviva I got a quote from Go Compare and went to Aviva website from there, and tried to pay but when I looked at the big difference in price then I thought it was a mistake and called the insurance company directly, after talking to a lady who was not interested at all in my questions I asked her if I could talk to the manager, after a long wait she brought the manager when they agreed what she would tell me to my questions why there was a big difference in the price that I found on the go compare page. Only the woman who introduced herself as the manager was very rude and wouldn't let me explain even if I sent proof that I wasn't lying about anything I was telling her. After one day I tried several times to edit on the go compare website a new search but go compare no longer allowed me to do anything and they didn't want to show me any price for my car. That's why I warn everyone to bypass this insurance because they will have fewer problems or simply let everyone read only the negative reviews and see what the insurance company does when you take their insurance. Was given an initial quote.Very unhelpful, customer service just repeat their answers, poorly trained,Beware of this insurance company. The staff are unhelpful and provide poor customer service. While the premiums may appear cheaper initially, there are hidden charges after purchase, and they will demand additional fees later.The worst service I’ve ever experienced. Probably the worst customer service I have encountered in a long time. Didn’t even try to help me.
