Abysmal service - avoid!

My broker found me this policy, and I decided to proceed. I contacted them not long after policy started, and after 2 calls, waiting for over 45mins - I opted for a callback, which after a week never appeared. I’m afraid for £175 per month, I used this as a sign that I shouldn’t proceed with the policy so cancelled the DD. 1 month later they wrote asking to me complete a new DD mandate. I wrote back advising of the terrible service, to which they just cancelled the policy. A lucky escape and won’t touch them again either a barge-pole for any other policy. Dreadful, dishonest thieves

Terrible experiences throughout the last year of cover. Incorrect advice given that delayed treatment, claims refused (but eventually paid - you have to persevere) and dreadful customer service. Rapid resolution - no complaint necessary.

An issue with payment for a treatment was rapidly resolved by Aviva and enabled things to move forward and be resolved within a week. A member of staff took ownership of the case and worked with other departments and external bodies to resolve matters without the need for a complaint. Reviewed on: 20th August 2026

They do not like claims.

I have hip pain and they declined my claim despite never having similar problems before. I have now referred them to the Ombudsman but of course this takes time. Reviewed on: 20th August 2026

It’s very reassuring to have this policy in place

my husband purchased our policy after 13 hour wait in A&E left us upset and un cared for. There was definitely a stigma around it and I wasn’t sure whether we would actually end up using it but God oh my God we ended up getting a policy. Since inception we’ve had to use it twice and both times the care and attention that we’ve had has been exceptional. Everything has been super quick.
