I've always had my current account with Barclays and always been very happy with it. I use the app on a daily basis, and find it easy to use with good functionality. If I've had to seek help for anything, I've always managed to get things resolved. Reviewed on: 15th March 2024

I switched to Barclays.

Used the current account switching service to start banking with Barclays.There were no problems at all and the switch went smoothly.l received £200 as an incentive and Barclays keep me updated with offers statements, balances. Online and mobile system are really user friendly and always accurate within seconds. I would recommend Barclays. Reviewed on: 26th January 2026

I’ve just switched current account to Barclays and the benefits are very good and was so easy to switch! . The cash ISA is also really easy to use, and has a solid interest rate. Customer service has been excellent so far. Reviewed on: 24th January 2026

Very good if you have premier banking .

Very good if you have premier banking . If not then not sure . Hence why I have not given top scores . As I recall prior to premier service was poor at best Reviewed on: 23rd January 2026

Foreign currency cheques

I received a cheque in Canadian Dollars (approximate value £800) and went to my local branch of Barclays to pay it into my current account. I was very disappointed to be told that Barclays no longer accepted cheques for any currency other than £ sterling. I therefore had no choice but to open a low interest savings account with another UK bank for the sole purpose of paying in this $ Canadian cheque. This was time consuming and should not have been necessary as Barclays used to be able to deal with foreign currency cheques without problem. Reviewed on: 23rd January 2026
