Easy to open an account

I was a UK resident but not citizen recently arrived in the UK. I went to several banks to open an account but found them uninterested and unhelpful, except Barclays. Several years later I am still with them. Reviewed on: 15th February 2016

Standard bank account, charges been dropped

A Reliable Banking Experience

I am extremely forgetful and over the past few years have lost my bank card a number of times. Barclays makes it very easy to request a new one through the Barclays banking app. Reviewed on: 26th January 2016

The pin machines required for online activities are outdated and easily lost

Took a while but once set up it's been perfect

When signing up to barclays last year I had issues when transferring from my old bank which left me without money for a week. Barclays did try to help and once set up, any issues I have they will sort without a problem! Reviewed on: 20th January 2016

The experience

Barclays bank has always been a bank I love to bank with because the staff is friendly and helpful bit at times there are long queues and customers have to wait long hours to get attended to and to make matters worse there are only two staff at the counter and majority of the customers use the self checkout in the barclays bank in Croydon. More staffs need to be on the ground floor attending to customers. I walked away once when I couldn't find anyone to help me at the self service machine. The only guy there was speaking to another customer. They do deliver great and professional service but they need to allocate more staff to deal with customer issues or problem. Dissapointing

I have banked with Barclays now for a number of years and overall i am left with a feeling of dissapointment rather than satisfaction with customer service. At times there has been cause for complaint in the way that my queries have been handled. Reviewed on: 15th January 2016

Customer Service not good

I used to go into our local bank often - the counter staff were always friendly but every time tried to sell me things. The last time I went in I asked about opening an ISA on line was told no way and made to setup an appointment with an advisor. Got home and spoke to my daughter about it, she had opened an ISA online just recently. I feel that the staff are only interested in selling you things, not want you personally want. So I have never gone into the bank again. Having said that, I use my iPad app and Pingit, couldn't do without them Reviewed on: 14th January 2016
