Shocked and disappointed

I've just had to retire. I'm now only on the state pension. Barclays have kindly informed me they are taking away my overdraft facility ( I'm not overdrawn - I owe them nothing ), and told me if I become overdrawn, I won't have access to my account ( that's quite a threat - starve and become homeless ). So thanks Barclays for the removal of the financial safety net of a disabled pensioner in the middle of a cost of living crisis. I've banked with Barclays for decades. They have made a fortune out of me when I was working. Now it seems I am disposable. Reviewed on: 13th December 2024

I've always been happy with my Barclays current account

I've always had my current account with Barclays and always been very happy with it. I use the app on a daily basis, and find it easy to use with good functionality. If I've had to seek help for anything, I've always managed to get things resolved. Reviewed on: 15th March 2024

The app is missing some fundamental features for example I have a loan but the only way I can add, edit, or amend for example the direct debit details is to call them… what’s the point of having this in the app if I can manage it through the app. Reviewed on: 12th March 2024

I wish it could be no stars!

About 4 months ago, I switched to a Barclays account to get a switch incentive. Boy, do I wish I had never bothered! Without warning they closed my account and dropped me right in it with my direct debits. They also have some of my money, all be it only a small amount, but the hoops I am having to jum,p through to get £29 back is unbelievable! So far three visit to the branch and I still haven't been able to get it. I can only assume that they decided they weren't going to make any money out of me, so have closed my account until anti-fraud rules, as no one can or will tell me why it was closed. I have been treated in the most disgusting fashion, like I've done something wrong. Reviewed on: 29th February 2024

Closed my account without reason or notice. Seized over £2000 and spent months wasting my time and demanding proof of where the money cane from. Treated me like a criminal when i had done nothing wrong. Finally got my money back after almost 3 months Reviewed on: 24th February 2024
