BBS were great for our guest house mortgage

Bath Building Society was very flexible and set up a mortgage for our guest house. All the other lenders we approached (Lloyds, Natwest, Halifax etc.) were unable to help because we didn't fall into a standard tickbox category. The rate was always competitive, we had a series of discounted rate deals. Been with them for about 20 years. I highly recommend BBS. Reviewed on: 24th April 2025

Simple to deal with

Having spoken to my bank and being underwhelmed by their response found Bath BS on Google and got through online really quickly. No annoying bot or click through menus. Tom was helpful and arranged for a specialist mortgage broker to call Reviewed on: 24th March 2022

Mortgage advice

As someone who knows nothing about applying for a mortgage and what my options might be at the age of 60, I was really lucky to be pointed towards Bath Building Society. They answered my query promptly and were more than helpful, emailing me the relevant information and giving me a few ideas I hadn't previously thought of. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Excellent service

A Fair Mortage Provider

Bath Building Society have always been very fair when offering mortage renewals. They contact us well in advance of the renewal, offering a small selection of competitive deals allowing us to make a decision without the need to change provider. Specialist Lending with Understanding

We needed to transfer a specialist Holiday Let Mortgage from one property to another. Everybody at Bath Building Society was understanding of the complexity of the transfer and their customer service was great. We especially found having a personalised mortgage advisor to contact with questions or problems a real bonus, instead of having to explain every detail, every time with other lenders!
