I have been with BIBS for nearly 20 years.

I have been with BIBS for nearly 20 years. In that time, I have found every single member of staff helpful, extremely friendly and have always resolved any queries ive had. The online services need a bit of work though! Reviewed on: 11th February 2026

Can speak to local customer service!

I would recommend the building society except it doesn’t take new savers. when l called and spoke to a customer service adviser, he was excellent. Reviewed on: 11th February 2026

With regard to your point about us not taking on new savers, some of our accounts are indeed only available to customers who have saved with us for at least 12 months, or to those who live, work, or study in the BA1 or BA2 areas. We regularly review these requirements to ensure we are offering the best possible options to potential new customers. We do, however, have a range of accounts that are available to customers who live outside of Bath or who do not already save with us.
