Out of my 6 years of driving I will never ever be going back to Churchill let me run this down for you started with the company from July were now in November I've rang up 5 times over the last 4 months for them to tell me they have a IT problem and they will ring me back never heard nothing back decided to ring back for the last time In this November for them to tell me there's a defect with my insurance. After already taking a payment off me they then tell me they need to cancel my insurance start a new one and take another payment again in the same month with no refund after all I wanted was my no claims discount protecting adding on which I already added on from the start then once the insurance started they decided it wasn't protected after 4 months of IT issues they tell me oh we can now add protected no claims that they also confirmed I put it on in the first place to also say sorry for the amount of times ive called and no call back for them to turn around and say yes we can add it but need to cancel and take another payment with just a sorry. That's my last time using this company and stay away never had a issue with anyone else apart from these shocking Reviewed on: 21st November 2024

Efficient and reliable

When my car was parked and damaged by a third party, Churchill took care of everything. They dealt with the third party and had a curtesy car provided and collected to and from my home address. I no point was I inconvenienced without my car. They were great. Reviewed on: 22nd August 2023

Avoid like the plague

After an accident I waited 7 hours for recovery, not acceptable! Then it gets worse!!! Classed as a write off, no offer of a courtesy vehicle. It is my work vehicle so I need it to earn a living. Accident happened 2nd June, it is now 3 months later and they have no update what so ever. The vehicle is on finance so I have paid out 3 months of payments along with tax & insurance, with no vehicle to earn me a living. I haven’t received a single letter or email with a confirmation that it’s a write off or what is going on. Every time I call I get the same lie…. You will receive a call back or a letter in the post. Not received anything. I called today to chase again and this time was no different, except they couldn’t confirm where my vehicle even is! Even the complaint I lodged has never been dealt with. According to Churchill them selves the complaint would be dealt with last week at latest… never happened! .Complaint has been raised since 20th July!!! Second complaint raised 21st August. No contact/ reply from anyone at Churchill. Neither of the raised complaints have been dealt with! Reviewed on: 22nd August 2023

Good value for money

Came to Churchill after my previous insurance provider upped my premium almost by 80% in a year - note that I've never had a claim.. Churchill almost matched last year's premium for a similar package and sign up was very easy. So far i am happy with them Reviewed on: 22nd August 2023

Smooth Claim Handling

I was rear ended by a van while stationary at a junction. Churchill processed the claim very efficiently, repaired the car promptly and I was very happy with the outcome. The only let down was that recorded the claim incorrectly and my fault which I then had to challenge at a later date Reviewed on: 22nd August 2023

Extortionate Increase

I received my annual renewal and it had increased by 67%. The only change was I was a year older and so was my car! Reviewed on: 22nd August 2023

Low priced, but not transparent

Insuranced priced cheaper than competitors, but had to haggle them down to match. Good level of cover for price. Shame it's not transparent and the haggled price to start with. Reviewed on: 13th August 2023

All good so far...

Been with Churchill for a number of years now, after plenty of research they were in the top insurance companies for hassle free payouts after making a claim. I've not had to make a claim as of yet but wanted to know if that time come it wasn't going to be a huge headache. Staff are friendly and service is good. Reviewed on: 9th August 2023

The worst customer service experience.

I have never exprienced stress and anger as much as I had with this company's service. They charged my family even after we sold the car and after my dad contacted them they cancelled the insurance but then randomly upgraded the account to a premium. Me and my dad contacted them again, spend up to 2 hrs on the phone to cancel the account and organise a refund which the lady on the phone said it will take a week to sort out. The account was cancelled but after a week instead of a refund letter we got a letter for an overdue bill. Next time I contacted them again over the weekend. First day the customer service lady goes over the same conversation but when my questions starts getting harder, she waits until the end of the day then just ghosts me. Second day, same bloody conversation with another bloke. Ends up struggling with basic questions and refuses to answer any question about the refund. At the end he just tell me to get my father on the phone next time and closes the conversation. I gave them all the information they wanted during the exchange and even the case number so they can trace the older conversation quicker. They didnt use the reference number at all. Whats the point in having them then? Just to pose as professionals in front of the public. Bunch of cronies. Reviewed on: 6th August 2023
