Let me down

3
I don't like any car insurance company if I'm being honest, we are with Diamond at the moment but have to change every year as everyone I've been with hike up their prices,, I will say though cooperative were good for offering a 3 year fixed price but then they let me down by cancelling my policy and trying to make me start all over again with an increased quote when one of my direct debits failed due to me changing bank accounts, I even phoned them up to pay it the day after Reviewed on: 27th February 2017

Very deceptive and dishonest car insurance company

1
After a long time on the phone with Coop complaints department, nothing was resolved. No apology even though they have now received all the proof info they required, they still would not reinstate my insurance. What pathetic joke of a company would send out important letters non-recorded? Coop Insurance would! What apathetic car insurance company would not bother to phone you or email you to request something important even though they have your details on file? Coop would!!! Other insurers in the past have always emailed me, or phone me. Coop is a joke, I had to take out a brand new policy. Will be taking this up with the FSO to see what they have to say about this... Very disgusted with their service. Reviewed on: 17th December 2016

Dishonest car insurance company out to steal your money

1
I was insured for just a month before they sent out a letter saying my insurance was cancelled. When I called them up they claimed to have sent out a letter requesting further information which I never received. They have both my mobile number and email address on file which they never bothered to use but instead stole around 30% of my annual premium for that first month. I would not recommend Reviewed on: 11th December 2016

Bullshit

I did one year as a named driver. To make that very one year a REAL ncb i had to do further year under my own policy! In the second year i was told i need to complete 2 years as my own policy. In total 3 years on the second month before a renewal they ask for information i cant provide in the timeframe i therefore have be threatened to give my info by the 28th or have my policy cancelled. I only have one more payment to make!!! My insurance went up for no reason when turning 25. If i am male of female shouldnt matter. Reviewed on: 23rd November 2016

Cheapest Around

I did an online comparison and found Co-op to be a lot cheaper than other & also had a lower excess. Easy to purchase and the online account makes it easy to access your documents. Reviewed on: 13th October 2016

Ok if you don't plan on getting married

1
My wife and I just got married and we thought we ought update her marital status on the car insurance policy. Only to hear that Co-op can now not insure her. This is not something we read about when going through policy details. Shocking! Reviewed on: 12th October 2016

okay until claim made

absolutely okay until you actually need them! the gentleman I initially spoke with was terrible and left me so worried after being rear ended by a car stolen by the insureds son, it's still not sorted out although after speaking with someone else I feel less worried. Reviewed on: 28th August 2016

Im a new driver and expected to have a hefty first years insurance... I was really surprised on the comparrison sites co-op was right near the top as the cheapest for the year, as they are a well known brand i decided to go ahead and am really pleased. I even got a years free breakdown cover which save me even more money! Reviewed on: 10th March 2016

Cheeky Charges

when i married i had to change my name on my car insurance policy, and it's awful that charges are made just of admin, it takes seconds to update details. it's ridiculous in this day and age. we have now moved to someone else! Reviewed on: 7th March 2016
