worse than bad, just awful

trying to sort out a claim to be told they are trying to contact the assessor, to finally be told 8 weeks later that we not covered under any aspect of the what can only be described as miss-sold insurance. so we are left with huge hold in the ceiling, damage to the curtains, carpet and side unit and various other items after the water from the storm damage caused unprecedented amounts of water and the roof gave in.... in reality the insurance isn't worth the paper its written on and when you need it most, your not covered, you may as well save yourself the premium every year...and have none...the final cost to you is still the same but at least you can put the premium towards the repair costs. They sold my details on and I was hounded by phone calls

It's been three years since I used Direct Line for car insurance. Whilst I had no reason to claim during my time, they sold my details once I had left and to this day, I get at least five phone calls a day from companies about a mysterious car accident that didn't take place. Naughty with renewals

I'm with Direct Line and I find they are ok, but naughty with the renewal prices but giving them a call and they always match the new customer price. Reviewed on: 27th February 2017

No loyalty reward

I've been with Direct Line for years and they've always been competitive,when your renewal is due,get a cheaper quote elsewhere,give them a ring and they'll beat it.I have to say however,it does annoy me that they don't reward loyal customers with the best deal first of all,but I suppose they're all the same Reviewed on: 27th February 2017

Good claims experience

Third party reversed from parking space into my car. Although driver admitted liability. This admission was later retracted, obviously on instructions from his office. Direct Line handled the claim on my behalf obtaining a totally satisfactory result, and with no stress on my part Reviewed on: 25th February 2017
