FirstDirect still doing the business in a personal way

First direct keep me informed without bombarding me relentlessly with emails and texts. They inform of product offerings, statements and interest rate changes in periodic and timely fashion. On the few occasions I need to call them on the phone their staff truly demonstrate why they have won so many customer service awards since 1989 Reviewed on: 26th February 2025

Consistent service

1st Account

I've had my 1st Account for about 6 years, and I've always been happy with the service from First Direct. I'm able to call 24/7 for any queries I have, and staff have always been very professional and friendly. Unless you prefer a physical branch, I would recommend First Direct to anyone. Their app is easy to use, and like that I can search for specific payments to keep on track with my budgeting, and download previous statement to compare. Reviewed on: 12th January 2022

Excellent Customer Service

I changed to First Direct as I had heard good things about their customer service. I agree, they are great! It's all online and if you do need to use their telephone banking, it's efficient and quick. While I can't knock the app for logging in to banking, it's a bit of a pfaff on if you need to access transactions older than a month as you need to log on via the laptop and the security is seems much more complex (only because it's all linked biometrically on my phone, making it quick & easy) for that reason, I haven't given it full stars on recommending to friends and family.
