Ultimate Reward Current Account

Excellent account which includes benefits such as Travel Insurance, Breakdown Cover and Home Emergency Cover which we have had to use a few times but Halifax have always provided the cover for us - Excellent company! Reviewed on: 19th September 2017

Really happy

Really happy with Halifax. Switched from FD. The app is great, lets you do pretty much every thing you need to do Day to day. The extra benefits such as the 3 pound reward and the cashback extras are great, and add extra value to the account! Customer service is good from what I have experienced. Would definitely recommend as they have a wide range of products too. Opening an account and switching was incredibly quick and hassle free. Reviewed on: 21st August 2017

Unhappy

It was ok at first when I opened account but most things they offered they have taken away,like £5 to stay in credit its only £3 now. Reviewed on: 14th August 2017

Appalling

After almost 4 years with Halifax they decided there was a problem with the way the account was set up and made it impossible to set up new payees. After 5 phonecalls, literally hours on hold, repeated promises of callbacks that never came, and half a tree worth of pointless letters, they achieved precisely nothing, so i closed the account and set up with a bank that knows what they're doing. Halifax also have the longest waiting times of any organisation i've dealt with (possibly equal with HMRC), and their so-called 'complaint managers' sound like the work experience kids - they know nothing and are terrified of speaking to customers. Dishonest cashiers

Dishonest thieves. I deposited £2000 into this bank having sold my motorbike. No sooner did I leave the branch the cashier withdrew the money with a "correction" and put in £200. When challenged about a month or so later having checked online I realised the error and checked with the bank as my login details didn't work. They totally refused claiming the cashier was adamant that I only deposited £200. He made the mistake with the "0" on the end. Tried to call me but I didn't answer apparently. Ombudsman checked, no CCTV and accounts audit balance was correct so I am wrong apparently. Avoid, thieves... Reviewed on: 23rd July 2017
