Review of the Halifax, Clarity credit card:

-7.5% for exchange rate

This card gives you free withdrawals aboard but at a stink exchange rate of 7.5%. If you do use if for a cash withdrawal pay it off straight away so you don't start paying interest. However it is good for paying for purchases etc as you get the interbank rate. Reviewed on: 6th June 2017

Long winded but great perks

I've been living overseas for a while now, and although sometimes the Halifax app is a little behind times and hard to navigate, the perks of this card have been outstanding. You don't get charged any fees for using your card abroad which has saved me so much money. They don't offer any other perks with the card barring the occasional period of super low interest, but the savings alone with using the card overseas trump any offers I've had with loyalty cards prior. Best customer service

I have been with a number of Banks and Halifax has been the best for everything I have needed. The customer service team over the phone was able to set up my online banking straight away, and helped when I was going abroad that the card wouldn't be frozen like it so commonly is with other banks. Great for abroad
