Review of the Halifax, Clarity credit card:

-7.5% for exchange rate

This card gives you free withdrawals aboard but at a stink exchange rate of 7.5%. If you do use if for a cash withdrawal pay it off straight away so you don't start paying interest. However it is good for paying for purchases etc as you get the interbank rate. Reviewed on: 6th June 2017

Clarity in name and nature

I got one of these this year to use abroad and it was brilliant. The exchange rate it fair, I got a £20 cashback for using it by a certain date and that was added promptly. Brill. Reviewed on: 19th November 2017

Fabulous for Holidays

I like to use the Clarity Credit Card for foreign expenditure. This card has no fees on spending abroad as long as you pay your statement in full by the date shown. The rate you'll get is set by Mastercard – it tends to be higher than Visa's and Amex's rate. Reviewed on: 15th November 2017

Clarity Card for Abroad

This card is great for travelling - We got it initially for travelling to America but have used it all over Europe/Ireland or any time we travel. The genius behind it is that it doesn't cost a penny to use the card abroad - you can spend without charges and lift money out of an ATM anywhere. The only downside is the high APR so what we do is save the money up before we travel and then pay it off as soon as we get back. Reviewed on: 13th November 2017

Excellent card for shopping abroad

I like halifax, they are pretty good at in store service, and they have pretty good telephone service too. But, it is their products and online usage which makes them a cut above other banks. I used this card in the states and in Switzerland, no problems, no fees, just used and charged the exchange rate of the day! Reviewed on: 11th November 2017
