great for taking abroad

this card is great to take with you abroad as it doesn't have any charges, you also get a £5 reward a month if you spend £300 or more a month using it Reviewed on: 20th June 2016

Cancelled card even though I told them I was abroad

I told Halifax I would be in USA on certain dates. Used the card fine until I tried buying theme park tickets on the card and they flagged it as fraudulent, (same state whole holiday) this then blocked me from using the credit card. Phoned them and had to go through all sorts of security (whilst at a water park) I failed security and they would not help me, I needed the card to pay for my transfer back to apartment. Phoned again and passed security. In mean time managed to get a lift back to apartment. Went out for dinner, my treat, credit card declined. What is the use of telling them you're away if they then block it!!!!!! I would not trust this credit card, I followed their policy of letting them know I was away and e dates and where I was going, and they still flagged it and blocked it!!, I have to say the previous day I was at a designer outlet and spent £400 without problem!, credit card less for the rest of my holiday! Low cost card with cashback

Halifax Clarity is a great card for everyday spending. My card has a low rate of 12.9% and Halifax do not charge commission on non-sterling transactions. There is also no cash withdrawal fee. What's more, as a Halifax current account customer, I receive £5 cashback every month that I spend £300 or more on goods and services on my card. Reviewed on: 2nd June 2016

the best credit card to use abroad

Great for using abroad

I have just used the halifax clarity credit card in the USA. It was great, free to withdraw money from cash points and no fee to buy anything in another currancy. Reviewed on: 28th March 2016

Very Best Card for using at home & abroad

Great little card to take abroad for purchasing items anywhere. No fees at all and a fabulous exchange rate - buy using the currency of the country you are visiting. Had this card for over 5 years now - can't beat it! Reviewed on: 28th March 2016

perfect for overseas spending

I got this card solely for spending on holiday. It has a near perfect exchange rate, it actually cannot be beaten. I made some simple calculations and the difference between spending £500 on this whilst on holiday and swapping with the bank or post office was over £65 Reviewed on: 28th March 2016

Best rates of Exchange without fees

I have to say that I have had a Halifax Clarity Card now for about 3 years and it has been really true to its word - CLARITY - no hidden fees in exchange rates for travellers like me and it gives me a much better rate of exchange on purchases abroad than any other card I have had. Perfect card

I needed to increase my limit on my card and this was done with just one simple phone call. Quick and easy a few simple questions and I know have a card I can use with great rates aboard and even pays me a fiver to spend over £300 a month on. Can't be bad getting free money.
