opening an account was very easy

The process of opening an account was very easy and the Interest rates are good Reviewed on: 19th January 2026

Good product, but no easy access!

We opened a Branch Saver in June 2023 as it was offering a competitive rate of interest at the time. My only complaint would be that it was marketed as an Easy Access account, but this is not the case. To withdraw any money you are required to post your pass book back to their head office, with written instructions! In this digital age it should be possible to carry out all transactions online, and/or via the App!! Reviewed on: 19th January 2026

Friendly local building society.

I've been with The Hanley for over forty years and they have helped me so much during that time with both savings and mortgage. They are local, convenient and always helpful and always provide an excellent service.. Reviewed on: 19th January 2026
