Helpful

Disappointed with information

After an accident caused by someone else, I don't feel Hastings gave me enough information about how my claim would affect future insurance premiums. Reviewed on: 13th August 2016

USELESS

Third party hit my car along the motorway ( this wasnt my fault) and had footage of it but wouldn't sort anything out until I paid upfront and that there was the license plate on there , so I went to the police and they had seen the footage and said that there was no sign of the license plate so that the lied, and they still refused to do anything, so now it's gonna cost me £1300 to get it done on my own back, DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY, I am 18 years old just trying to get through life and this insurer f**** you over, don't bother. Low cost but who are you dealing with ?

I swapped as I do every year to Hastings for my car insurance and was reassured by their Defaqto 5 star rating. However being involved in a no fault claim a couple of months ago, I found out there policy of using a third party company up until the fault was proven, and the threat of taking money to provide services the other insurance company had already agreed to pay was not as reassuring. Thank you to the other insurance company who have been nothing but helpful in resolving my issue, and as a first time Hastings user, I don't think I will be renewing ! Reviewed on: 5th August 2016
