Friendly and efficient

Contacted H&R via website. Had return telephone call 30 mins later to answer query. Forms sent promptly in the post. Visit to branch safe- social distancing, limited no. allowed inside at any one time, equipment sanitised. Reviewed on: 23rd February 2021

Poor customer service

Customer service experience at castle street branch is poor. You are minet/passbook not a person/loyal customer After banking with this building society for over 30 years their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I appreciate the rules on safety guidance and today waited outside the branch waiting to be called in. The cashier beckoned me in. As I entered the cashier next to her shouted at me that there were too many people in and to go back outside and wait. At this point I walked off not making my deposit. What poor customer service. In normal times I go into the branch on a monthly basis and the cashiers never express pleasantries, yet santander down the road always great with a smile, ask how we are and even know mum is always with me and ask after her if she isn't and they only see me once a month, how different customer service is perceived by banks. Updating savings plan

Thanks to the lowering of interest rates I could close a 90 day account at short notice and transfer most of the amount to two new accounts. Everything happened very efficiently and this will reduce my tax bill! Rugby branch is excellent. Reviewed on: 18th February 2021

LONGEST TIME TO OPEN A SAVINGS ON RECORD

OPENING A SAVINGS ACCOUNT AS POA FOR MY MOTHER WHO HAS NOW MOVED INTO A CARE HOME. ONE PROBLEM WAS MY MOTHER HAS NO PROOF OF ADDRESS AS ALL CORRESPONDENCE IS SENT TO MY ADDRESS... SO YOU SHOULD BEAR THAT IN MIND FOR FUTURE APPLICATIONS.I KNOW WE ARE EXPERIENCING STRANGE TIMES AT THE MOMENT BUT STILL HAD TO STAND AND WAIT AT THE DESK FOR OVER AN HOUR WHILST APPROVAL WAS BEING SORT.... AT THE END WE HAD TO LEAVE WITHOUT A PASS BOOK WHICH HAS OBVIOUSLY TAKEN A WHILE TO GET HERE SO COULDN'T USE THE ACCOUNT WHILST WE WERE WAITING. AFTER BEING A LOYAL CUSTOMER AND HAVING MANY ACCOUNTS FOR OVER 30YEARS WITH YOU THIS IS THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE HAD. Reviewed on: 18th February 2021
