Lady was lovely,

Lady was lovely, nothing too much trouble, listened to me and my brother rattling on , as mum had sadly died the year before, when I needed another account I had all the help I needed. Reviewed on: 20th October 2024

Best rate, good service, old school

The rate was the best available currently and for a good period (five years). I don't mind the early withdrawal penalty but I didn't want to be limited to putting in a fixed sum per month or a one- or two-year period, which most of the best rates seem to do. This building society is rather old school. I haven't seen a passbook in years, but why not? An online application form would be a good idea, though, rather than having to download and print a PDF, complete it by hand (though I do have the typewriter function on Adobe Acrobat 9). But if it helps prevent money-laundering that's OK with me. Reviewed on: 13th January 2023

Helpful and friendly customer service

We opened a 30 month Bond Account s new customers. We were promptly provided with the relevant forms. The forms were straightforward and easy to complete. The main terms and conditions were explained to us and we were provided with account documentation. We received a receipt for our cheque and the rest of the opening procedure was explained clearly Reviewed on: 13th January 2023

Efficient,effective and good value

HRBS are one of the few financial institutions who you can contact easily-and who contact you back! They offer good interest rates and are friendly and efficient. Reviewed on: 13th January 2023

Changing rainly day account to a bond.

I gave notice 120 days before and was told I would receive a confirmation letter. It never came, although I did mention it a little later. I had no reminder that the 120 days were about up. It was down to my good diary. I asked for annual advice of credited interest but none were received. I had to take my book in for update. Reviewed on: 11th January 2023
