Very helpful staff who go out of their way to help you (Kendal branch).

I travel a lot for work and I've often run into problems that HSBC has helped me out with. I once had my debit card stolen and it was difficult to get a replacement while I was abroad. However, the helpful staff at Kendal branch enabled me to get a new card promptly, and they also suggested making my mother a signatory to my account so that she can authorise such processes in the future should a similar situation arise. Difficult and unfriendly.

I've found HSBC's online banking a nuisance to use, and I hate telephone banking. I feel like I have to run a gauntlet of unnecessary passwords and processes just to access my own money. I've also changed my name, and HSBC has refused to help me until I make an appointment with a local branch. I'm considering moving to a new bank. Reviewed on: 19th June 2016

Very good customer service

I had great customer service at HSBC until I opened a new bank account with Santander and they stopped caring for me as a customer even though I didn't want to leave them. Reviewed on: 23rd May 2016

not good!

as a 17 year old i kept getting put into minus money, then as soon as i paid it in the black, they took a fee and put me in red again this went on for months until i closed the account down never to go back! Reviewed on: 19th May 2016

Easy and reliable

I have loved using HSBC as my bank, I had to add my other half to the bank account and a trip to the bank was needed. HSBC have local branches and people vailable to help and assist. The lady was very helpful and checked and did the paperwork and process very quickly and politely. They look after their customers and they have phone / online / and branch assistace which makes the whole process very helpful and easy. Reviewed on: 26th April 2016
