Very helpful staff who go out of their way to help you (Kendal branch).

I travel a lot for work and I've often run into problems that HSBC has helped me out with. I once had my debit card stolen and it was difficult to get a replacement while I was abroad. However, the helpful staff at Kendal branch enabled me to get a new card promptly, and they also suggested making my mother a signatory to my account so that she can authorise such processes in the future should a similar situation arise. A lot of room for improvement

Constant issues with the banking app, my actual transactions and keeping track of them, as well as the overall customer service and care shown. The service itself is poor letting me down on multiple occasions and definitely not delivering the minimum expected service. Reviewed on: 19th January 2020

It's good

Good sign up bonus, so-so service since

Whilst there is no cause for complaint as such I find the app and online banking to be a bit lacking in the user friendliness dept. I want to give descriptions to my accounts so they're more easily identifiable but it seems that HSBC don't offer this feature. I found this out after a painful live chat with what I presume was a robot or someone with a poor grasp of the English language. I'll bide my time and jump ship when the time is right. App doesnt do anything

App only allows you to view details, not change anything. Online banking times out if you try and do more than one thing. Although that must mean your money is very secure as you can’t even access it yourself! Reviewed on: 12th January 2020
