Very helpful staff who go out of their way to help you (Kendal branch).

I travel a lot for work and I've often run into problems that HSBC has helped me out with. I once had my debit card stolen and it was difficult to get a replacement while I was abroad. However, the helpful staff at Kendal branch enabled me to get a new card promptly, and they also suggested making my mother a signatory to my account so that she can authorise such processes in the future should a similar situation arise. OK as long as you don't ever go overdrawn

Being with the bank years and having a decent salary going in every month month means nothing to HSBC if you need an overdraft. If you've had the misfortune of not having a perfect credit score then HSBC refuse to assist Reviewed on: 11th November 2017

When all the local banks close where do you go to pay cash in? This was before they allowed it at the post office

Trouble with Branch

I've always had problems when I've gone into Branch. They seem never to follow up on anything I ask them to. Tried to upgrade account three times which they said they would do but never happened. Also held up my mortgage because they didn't bother to send out my bank statements twice. Reviewed on: 10th November 2017

OK... but no cigar

Well...it's a bank account. It does what it says on the tin. Bog standard current account no extras, no interest on positive balances. Nothing to sell itself. Nothing terrible about it either. But nothing to pursuade me not to switch for a a handsome bonus elsewhere...TSB...Yorkshire...Halifax...First Direct etc. Reviewed on: 10th November 2017
