Only bank online these days

Unable to understand your banking needs

Efficient, easy to communicate by telephone, accessible

Decent online service, but poor account management and high charges

I've banked with many providers and HSBC was my preffered choice however I am contemplating moving to an ethical bank. I don't like the way they operate or the way they charge you. I have worked in Europe and I am used to different approaches. I think the customer service and the way they value their customers should be looked at. Reviewed on: 20th January 2016

Stop closing down high street banks

It used to be handy having HSBC round the corner to drop in cheques but now they've closed it down so we have to travel much further to do this, but always found HSBC to be very good, although ocassionally their systems can go down which can cause issues or delayed processes. Excellent business banking

They are based in the hight street which is near their business which makes it easy as we often need to bank cheques during their lunch hour. The staff there are extremley friendly and as we've been using the same bank for years so they know them well. Reviewed on: 20th January 2016

Not very helpful

Attended to only when a new business banker took over the account

Its just a frustration that the only time we ever heard from our business banker was when they phoned to introduce themselves. Would happen regularly every 18 months/2 years - taken over the account, love to get to know the business etc etc but after the initial burst of enthusiasm they were never heard of again!
