Proper bike insurance

They seem good value but I have not yet needed them so I don't know what the customer service is like our how will they deal with claims, but I'm optimistic, to a point. I love the flexibility and the price, plus the ability to insure all my clothing and accessories. Twice a life saver

They have helped me out twice. Once with a stolen bike battery and once with a stolen bike. The process was extremely straightforward the turnaround was quick. Reviewed on: 23rd September 2025

Generally good but some points raised.

Things are generally ok here, I mean thankfully I have not had to claim which is when an insurance company really comes to the test. However, I do have three important points I’d like to raise, in hope that Laka can improve: 1. I’ve currently got five (5) fairly expensive bicycles insured with them and never have I heard them mention anything about a loyalty rate. 2. We get the statement just a day before the payment is due, on one occasion I didn’t even get a statement and payment bounced. 3. Communion when reaching out isn’t exactly timely, in fact, it took someone a week to get back when I was setting up my account and came across some questions which were mainly because I was unfamiliar with using such platform previously. People on the Laka side shouldn’t take other people’s experiences according to their own and that’s a big one when responding to customer’s queries. Reviewed on: 22nd September 2025
