I upgraded my Lloyds Current account to Club Lloyds recently. It was very easy to upgrade and I am getting a good rate of interest.

I decided to upgrade my account because of the good rate of interest. The process of upgrading was so easy and my account runs like a dream. I like being able to do everything online and not having to go into a branch. As an added bonus I also get a free 12 months' subscription to a magazine of my choice. Reviewed on: 10th August 2015

Great added value

I think the Club Lloyds account offers great added value as you get to pick from a range of offers and don't actually have to pay anything for the account as long as you meet the minimum monthly amount you need to pay. For example as my reward I chose the six free Vue cinema tickets which when you consider the cost of the attending the cinema now is a great bonus. Reviewed on: 27th November 2016

Opening times

So i woke up today on the 16th of november and had to catch the train to bristol for work but half an hour before my train which was at 9:30 i decided to go to lloyds bank to put some money in at 9:00am as i did not have enough money to get it however on the door of the bank its says opening times 9-5 everyday, yet the manager would not let me in as his staff werent ready my solution to this is get them in earlier so the members of the public can go in straight away at 9:00am when they actually need to because due to this i have now probably lost my job because some idiots dont want to get up early in the morning to sort their shit out!!!! This has now got to change otherwise i will be leaving lloyds bank and thats a fact!! Reviewed on: 16th November 2016

Great bank

I've been with Lloyds for 10 years I've never had any issues, I've read others complaining of unplanned overdraft fees well it's written in black and white so it's your choice to go into an unplanned overdraft and rack up those fees. I've been in a DMP for 6 years and ensured I stayed on track paying back debts and keeping in credit in my account, I've applied for an planned overdraft a few times and rightly so got turned down, I'm now in a better job have sorted myself out financially and Lloyds have agreed a £1,500 unplanned overdraft. I now have credit cards which I use and pay in full to avoid charges - so it's no good complaining and reviewing the bank as bad when you do not manage your finances Reviewed on: 15th October 2016

Appalling service

Even doing the most mundane, regular activities with your debit card (online supermarket shop, every week, in my case) will lead to your card being frozen as fraudulent. You can then expect to spend in excess of 1 1/2 hours on hold to resolve the issue. Avoid them at all costs. Reviewed on: 25th September 2016

Secret savings

I joined Club Lloyds about a year ago, after having its 'normal' current account for decades - and it has really worked for me. One of the best things, I've found, is the 'save the change' feature. Every time I use my debit card, Lloyds rounds the payment up to the nearest pound and puts the difference in my savings account. It might not sound much, but by the end of each month those extra pennies mean I have saved around £20 without even noticing it! Every little helps (wait, that's the wrong brand!) fantastic service online and in the branch, any problems are always quickly dealt with

I've been with Lloyds since i was a teenager and can't fault the company or the staff in any branch i've been in - like when a cash machine ate my card, they quickly sorted it. And when another company frauded me out of all the money in the account, it was dealt with via the fraud team and the money returned that day. I have other accounts with my partner ('silver' joint account, and a savings account) and he too believes they're the best - including switching his current account from another bank, to lloyds.
