Excellent service

We held our self build mortgage with Mansfield and then stayed with them to switch to residential with extra borrowing. Mansfield have always been excellent to deal with throughout our build and when we switched and requested extra borrowing the process was great. We dealt with Joanna Hodgkinson who was really attentive, friendly and professional. We had spoken to a couple of mortgage brokers before speaking to Joanne but her knowledge and professionalism was clearly miles ahead of anyone else we spoke to. The case was handled well and promptly. The mortgage rate was slightly higher than the high street but worth paying a bit more for the ease of dealing with them. Reviewed on: 23rd December 2023

Just renewed for the 2nd time.

Just renewed for the 2nd time. Terms agreeable so did not feel the need to look elsewhere. The admin was very slick and efficient. Reviewed on: 28th November 2025

Haven’t had any issues with Mansfield.

Haven’t had any issues with Mansfield. The one thing I really like about them is they answer the phone pretty quickly and it’s always someone who can speak good English and understand good Scottish. Ideally I’d like to be paying a bit less every month but who wouldn’t? Reviewed on: 28th November 2025

Staff very friendly and always helpful.

Staff very friendly and always helpful. We paid for a valuation through yourselves and we were not happy with the valuation given it was £40k less then we have been told from our own evaluation and was considerably less in comparison to recent house sales on our street. Obviously the more equity in your house the better the internet rate so we feel a little cheated. We have renewed with you for a fixed 2 yrs as time was ticking and we just wanted an easy renewal this time round. Reviewed on: 17th November 2025
