Making contact with the Mansfield Building Society

I have only made contact with the Mansfield Building Society through the telephone or the internet, as I live in East Leake which is at the other end of the county. Sometimes it takes a while before I receive a reply, but when it comes it is always courteous and very helpful. Excellent customer service

My contact with the Society has been as a saver by phone or post, and has been uniformly excellent: clear and helpful advice or answers to my questions and effective action. The products offered appear competitive. Reviewed on: 9th January 2026

Support your local building society

It is unusual nowadays to be able to speak to someone based in this country who speaks proper English and not a customer service department based in India thank goodness. Very reassuring. Reviewed on: 9th January 2026

New Savings account

Decided to open a next savings account to start putting aside money for a particular future purpose. Staff at Chesterfield branch explained options we have , security checks needed and asked us to come back in 30 minutes , if convenient , which it was. Account was ready for our return. Now to make monthly transfers and the interest rates including first year bonus clearly advised with other product options. Reviewed on: 24th December 2025

Glacially slow service

You told us you were going to close our Trust account. We applied for a new account on 22 August. You sent us the new passbook on 2 December. Even allowing for the need to explain to us how to complete the relevant forms, this is disgracefully slow, isnt it? Reviewed on: 23rd December 2025
