Easy Christmas

For years Christmas has been a financial burden with savings pots raided during the year. The Monmouthshire’s Christmas savings account has put all that behind me. Last Christmas left me with no debt for the first time in forty years. I’m looking forward to spending this years savings, hassle free. Reviewed on: 16th November 2019

Brilliant small building Society

Strong Interest Rates, Respectful of Privacy and Keeping Local Branches Open

Compared to other banking institutions the Monmouthshire Building Society offers very competitive interest rates for general use accounts that do not tie you down to a fixed term. Additionally unlike other banks whom I also hold accounts, the Monmouthshire does not bombarded me with written correspondence and emails which is duly appreciated. Finally and most importantly, whilst I accept the trend of moving to online banking, it frustrates me that resultantly other banks are closing branches. So much so that in my village three major banks have closed over the past three years and the Monmouthshire are the ONLY ones to maintain a commitment to the village and keep branches open to deal with deposits and enquiries . Helpful staff and local branches

Staff at our local branch are so helpful and it's nice to be able to pop in if you have any questions or queries. All my family have a number of accounts all opened in your Risca branch. Reviewed on: 14th November 2019

Reliable local savings bank.

A friendly local bank which often offers new accounts at competitive rates, and are the last to reduce variable rates when the bank rate falls. Reviewed on: 14th November 2019

The service received here especially in the Swansea Branch has been Excellent!

Always a smile

I have NEVER had a negative experience when dealing with the Monmouthshire building society . That is a statement that is rarely heard today. It may not be the most competitive financially but certainly rates with the greatest for customer service. I use the office at the Handpost in Newport and it is always a pleasure doing business with whoever is manning the desk. Reviewed on: 14th November 2019
