U16 account

I received an email regarding the U16 account and while I was interested in getting one for my kids, I expected it to be a pain to open with fees that didn't make it worthwhile. I was very wrong. Took a few clicks and my boys received their cards in a few days. Outstanding and at 7 and 10, they'll remember Monzo forever as their first "account". Excellent way to teach kids about money from an early age and with the app they can access, it gives them all they could need and allows me to set controls for them too. Reviewed on: 20th March 2025

The free under 16 account is brilliant.

The free under 16 account is brilliant. My two boys aged 10 and 13 use thier own accounts to save money My older boy was skipping school dinners .He is now using his monzo card to buy lunch every day .He had a slight eating disorder due to his medication.He is now on the way to eating properly . Both boys no use separate pots to split any spending money and save for holidays and anything else they want to buy . Great product and thanks for allowing us to be beta users.This product allows us to restrict max payments and online use as well .We can move money around for them and pay directly into their saving pots .Although we now allow the boys to choose where they put their money. Great start and introduction to banking and saving Only downside is no interest on their savings . Apart from that a brilliant service and account Thanks again Reviewed on: 18th March 2025
