love using monzo bank for budgeting, easy to do with their separate pots that you can create and lock until a certain date. Also get paid early, and the app is so easy to use. Reviewed on: 26th January 2026

Awesome app and great Extra features

I pay for one of the Extra plans, and I really feel like I get the value for money out of it. I earn extra interest (which pays off the cost of the monthly plan), the spending tracker feature is the best in the industry, and I feel like the app is the easiest to use out of any of the banking apps I have. The Bank Account that Helps Me Control my Spending

So far, I have not come across a bank account that allows me to have such control over my spending, when money is coming in and out, and alerting me to upcoming bills. I have a second account with a high street bank and never have any idea when money is going in or out but, with Monzo, I always have full oversight and control which helps me manage my budget so much better. Move to Challenger Banks!

I had a terrible experience with my traditional bank when I had my wallet stolen. I couldn't get any service from my previous bank and was left with no access to my funds. I opened an account with Monzo and straightaway I had a new digital card that I could use from the beginning. The sign-up process was so simple and their UI is really good.
