designed for today's world

Monzo is brilliant. We've moved our accounts to them a few years ago, and have found them extremely helpful with sorting out queries. Their best feature is the live bank feed which is so useful when you need to be keeping an eye on your account and being aware of what you are spending at a touch of a button. They are also great in that it's both secure, but also not problematic in that security so you're not having to get through Fort Knox to view your account. The abilities to have pots for money management makes it a no-brainer for anyone on a budget who wants to be able to put a bit aside. Highly rate them! Reviewed on: 13th April 2021

Bank of the future

This bank is almost ideal for me. The only thing they could improve on is having a website for more detailed ways to explore and track my income and expenditure. I love the modern interface and swift response from their customer service. Reviewed on: 13th April 2021

Best banking experience

I have invited numerous people to join Monzo, I couldn’t rate it highly enough. It has a simple to use and user friendly interface. Customer support that fast and easy to access if you ever have to and I have never had an issue which was caused by them (my own error which they helped me resolve). Setting up is quick and secure, they set the benchmark which a lot of other banks are copying with open banking and roundups etc. Having an easier way to view and manage my money has meant I have made positive changes to spending habits and savings which is great! And I know loads of my friends that had no savings and now do as a result of understanding their money better. Now you can obviously see where you’re spending your money with other banks and on a statement etc, but being able to easily categorise spending, create pots and set/see monthly budgets etc inside the app without any laborious manual input is just awesome. The only negative is it’s highlighted to me how lazy I was before, because I wasn’t tracking the things I do now it’s easier. I initially got this just so I could use it abroad on a work trip, as it gave me the facility to attach expenses receipts etc but it’s now my main bank/card. Honestly couldn’t rate highly enough! There’s some cool extras you can add using third party services like IFTT where you can set it to save Xamount whenever you spend money on Xcategory etc. Might be a bit gimmicky I guess but whatever floats your boat! It’s also the perfect way to split a bill or tab with some friends! Monzo have been working on more features which I haven’t used yet, and there is now some paid subscription accounts (like all banks have) where you can earn additional rewards and benefits for extra services like mobile insurance and travel insurance etc - it’s nothing new to the world of banking but the processes are so easy with Monzo! Monzo is truly a bank of the future

I've always struggled with exporting transaction data from my old bank into an Excel sheet, adding columns for type of expense and other details just so I can understand my spending better. I always thought this was a feature banks should have incorporated but it didn't happen until Monzo came along. I also hated paying unnecessary transaction charges living in a globalised world, or to pay fees for withdrawing cash while traveling abroad. Monzo has successfully changed all that and paved the way for so many other challenger banks. I want to see Monzo get the limelight it deservers. Especially since it has always acted on feedback from its users every step of the way. The level of two-communication with its customers is also exemplary. And their customer service is also top-notch - the built in chat app is such a quick and easy way to interact with a bank, the likes of which I have never experienced before. Monzo users also share a sense of community, the gentle nod of affirmation from a stranger while standing at the till when they see the coral card in your hand. If there's any bank that deserves to win a banking award, it's Monzo. Reviewed on: 13th April 2021

Great bank
