A bank you can be friends with

I've been with Monzo for 4 years and have always found them helpful and easy to use. They make everything accessible and don't bog you down with the ridiculous wording that other banks do. There is always someone available to speak to if there is an issue and the app is so easy to navigate. Reviewed on: 13th April 2021

Excellent mobile banking

When I was in need of bank account to do something no other bank open it for me all because they requested alot of proof of address and I didn't get all so they didn't open it for me. But with monzo they requested few, and am proud to used monzo. Thank you very much. Reviewed on: 13th April 2021

Poor customer service and poor app

In general, Monzo is a great bank, that is until you face any kind of real problem. By problem, I mean something that is Monzo’s fault and not yours. Monzo customer service are great at resolving problems so long as you have pressed the wrong button for example, however if their app is at fault they very rarely do anything about it. A perfect example is the “get paid early” feature. Monzo will allow you to get your BACS salary payment a day early, however if you do this, the summary feature in the app breaks as it expects you to be paid the next day. Despite me reporting this and a massive thread on their forums about it, it’s been over a year and nothing is done. Their customer service can sometimes take weeks to reply, it’s the slowest customer service I’ve ever received. They also use bots to reply to customers despite denying this when asked, pretending that they are real people. Incredibly disingenuous behaviour, poor customer service and broken app features makes Monzo a poor bank for customers. Reviewed on: 13th April 2021
